Our First Local Legend: Twinkle & Rock Soul Radio
Twinkle is a Sarasota native with a remarkable four-decade career in rock, soul, and blues. She began performing as a teenager, even sharing the stage with Gregg Allman early on, and later signed a major record deal with Warner Brothers. Over the years, she has performed alongside legendary artists including Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble, and has taken the stage at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival.
Now leading Rock Soul Radio, a powerhouse band blending original rock and soul with high-energy live performances, Twinkle brings a level of talent and experience that’s truly rare to catch in an intimate beachside setting.
This monthly series celebrates the bands and artists who helped shape the sound of St. Pete and Tampa. These musicians are woven into the history of the Gulf Coast, and they don’t play my stage often, which makes each show something truly special on my stretch of sand.
